Standard solenoid valves open and close electrically depending on the ongoing current supply. In contrast, manual-reset emergency gas shutoff valves are safety devices that close immediately upon receiving an electrical pulse (such as from a gas detector). Once closed, they remain mechanically locked in place to prevent gas from flowing again until a technician inspects the area and manually pulls the reset pin.
Wireless solenoid valves designed for residential and light commercial use typically rely on standard dry cell batteries and operate via RF communication. For hazardous or heavy industrial environments, we recommend utilizing explosion-proof wired configurations (such as the CT-XF5 series) coupled with armored cable lines to ensure reliable signals and satisfy local safety certifications.
The FDG-X304SE gateway functions as the central point of our safety systems. It collects sensor values from wired or wireless gas detectors over Modbus RTU, LoRa, or standard 4-20mA connections. If the gas concentration exceeds safe limits, the gateway triggers the interlock control box (such as the JB-MK-AT2041X), discharging a DC pulse to close the solenoid valve.
